There are various categories of product:

• Workbooks. These are designed to be used in class and for private reading by the students. The syllabus and teaching notes are largely organised around the questions contained in these workbooks but there is certainly too much material in each for the full contents to be taught in class. The workbooks have sufficient content to challenge the more advanced students while providing the necessary background for all.

  Where sample pages from the product are available, note that each of these consists of sample sections taken from various places in the text. When reading them, note the page numbers very closely since the pages are generally not contiguous! In each case, the complete table of contents and index are included.

• Syllabus and Teaching Notes. These contain a schedule and associated syllabus suitable for teaching a particular topic to the standards somewhat beyond those required to meet the Transport Canada written examination requirements.
• Threshold Knowledge Tests. These are tests used during the first class on a particular topic. They cover some of the more obscure areas of the Private Pilot licence syllabus and allow the instructor to assess the level of review needed before embarking on the Commercial Pilot or IFR material.
• Examinations. These are designed to be used at the end of the groundschool. They target particular areas of the syllabus often poorly understood and are not designed to be a close match to the Transport Canada written examinations. The instructor version has both the questions and associated answers.

Postage and Packaging Costs

Workbooks are shipped directly from the printers and various forms of expedited and standard shipment options are available. The costs of these vary from workbook to workbook and the prices are displayed during check-out.

Customisation Pricing

Flight schools may have their logos printed on the cover and information about the school or other advertising material printed in the introduction for a surcharge of 10% on each workbook.

Printing on demand in this manner ensures that the workbooks are always up-to-date: there is no store of printed workbooks to be sold if a change is made to the text. Printing and mailing is normally completed within 24 hours.
